Rooftop Bars NYC

Rooftop Bars NYC
The pages of the calendar are blowing over steadily in search of my favorite season, Summer. And while the official start day for vacations may be Memorial Day, that’s not so in the world of rooftop bars NYC.

What better image can you conjure up during a hot day in summer, with the work day ending, then a visit to a fun and lively watering hole. And if that friendly barkeep is ensconced in an outdoor setting of cocktails, wines and beers, oh what a lovely sight.

Yes my friends’ establishments where you can drink alfresco are cleaning out the winter leaves and opening their doors starting this weekend. There is no greater joy than being outdoors with no windows, doors or partitions, savoring your drink of choice, while taking in the absolutely breathtaking scenery of a Manhattan skyline.

As beautiful as the locations can be, you know that 2 schools of thought will be battling over which rooftop bar has the best view, the minimalists who prefer a lower height so they can almost touch the buildings in their sight, or the elevationists who prefer the highest possible floor for a more panoramic setting. Let the debate begin.

This year our list of worthy recipients includes not just Manhattan locations, but I have added 1 from Queens and 1 from Brooklyn. The borough bars give the New York City skyline a magnificent larger than life picture any painter would love to paint.
